After twenty-something days of camping, we decided to treat ourselves to a night in a hotel in Missoula. It would let us park downtown and walk to all of the shops and restaurants that we enjoyed earlier.
But I got a bit worried when we pulled into the hotel's parking lot and saw that two trucks had their tires slashed. With seven exposed tires, I didn't feel too good about that. Plus, a lot of places in town were closed on Sunday.
It all worked out though. We had a good lunch and an excellent dinner, again eating at Scotty's Table. Plus we survived the night with all tires intact.
One odd thing - we partly stayed in the hotel to get a better night's sleep. But the trailer's bed didn't have a rut in the middle (the king bed in the hotel did), and the campgrounds we've been staying at have been quieter at night. We've never been in a hotel that had so many dogs in the rooms, and some of those dogs seem to like to bark at 4:30 in the morning. Oddly enough, we missed staying in the trailer a bit....
