Montana Monotony (Day 25)

Ugh. Long day in the van today as we did nearly 500 miles crossing Montana. We had considered stopping earlier (going to Billings instead of Miles City) but figured it would be better to rack up more miles. (Neither town held that much interest to us, but both had decent hotels.) At least it was a mostly sunny day, once we left rain showers near Missoula.

All highway cruising, lots of it at 75-80* across the Montana prairie. Three fuel stops today too, partly due to distance, partly due to gluttonous fuel consumption at that speed, and partly because fuel stops are far apart.

Oddly, every fuel stop has a casino attached. Even the KFC here in Miles City has a casino. It's not that appealing.

Back to camping tomorrow.
